Clean vehicles

Clean vehicles, bus

Much of the energy consumed by human beings today is used for transport. High-performance products, combined with advanced technology, will make our cities cleaner and our modes of transportation more efficient.

Goal: Clean Air

As we enter the new millennium, 80% of the people living in Europe are located in cities in which car traffic is continually growing (the European Commission has forecast growth of 40% by 2030). Given this situation, many of the major cities have undertaken to develop measures to reduce transport-related pollution, such as the use of clean vehicles.

Three solutions are commonly used today: gas propulsion, with LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), CNG (Compressed Natural Gas for vehicles) and diesel engines equipped with particulate filters (DPF) operating with a desulfurized diesel oil of the Aquazole type.

  • Anticipating European environmental regulations, the TOTAL group has developed a made-to-measure solution for urban transport in response to the ecological, technical and economic requirements of urban fleet managers using clean vehicles.
